My Story Chapter 2

My… head hurts… I held a heavy hand to my forehead. I felt something weird on my face, and I lazily felt around it. I settled it as some kind of thin tube or something. Where was I anyway? I can’t remember anything after I was talking with Sakina. Wait… All my memories were flooding into my head at once. The stab… The cut… The nurse’s office… I shot up in the nursing bed, only to be restrained by some tubes connecting me to a machine. It was a small white machine, with a live show of my steady heartbeat, making a beeping noise, every second or two. A small bag of blood hung by the side of the machine. Looking at my surroundings, I realised I wasn’t in the familiar room...

Creative Writing Assessment for school.

In this assessment, we had to choose a random news report and write a story on it, or at least that’s what we did for the practice, but the teacher told me to submit the practice writing and I had almost two months to just sleep in class while everyone else wrote their creative writing assessment. This assessment ended up getting me an E8 (Excellence level 8), which is the highest grade in New Zealand schooling, so I got an A+. Here it is. “Oh god, I should not be doing this. I should NOT be doing this. If my parents could see me now, they would be so disappointed.” The man whispered to himself, hands shaking from a mixture of the cold air and his own fear as he pulls his...

Echoing Silence —

I'm back with a new piece. This piece represents a new step in my writing, I have experimented with new structure, tense and removed intentional rhyming. The poem is a story, following two strangers... One which took me a long time to prepare and develop, to experiment and create. This is because the meaning of this poem is something to which I hold dear... I hope you enjoy. Two strangers stand, locking eyes on the street. Not a sound is made. While phone numbers exchange.   A park bench, a couple and five ducks. Flocking to bread which flies in the calm, with hands held softly, against the bench. Still air shivering chills down spines.   Wrapped in each other’s arms, a man...

Dear Me

Don’t ever doubt yourself I know things gets rough sometimes And I definitely know your struggles But, Don’t ever think that rope you hang is the solution to your problem Don’t you dare touch those pills from the shady merchant Don’t you EVEN look at the gun in your drawer, except for burglars Cause you know? Remember those moments? When you smiled and socialized When you cooked and everyone’s enjoying it When you sang and even the birds fell asleep When you play the piano and the room was immersed When you made your parents smile? Don’t let it go to waste Believe more in yourself Look at the positivity around you And remember one thing, You are not alone.

Of Red and Blue.

Of Red and Blue.

One day there is a guy who loves the color red, with blue arms and even bluer heart. His eyes are burning with passion even though the light in his heart had died, and he's trying so hard to light it back even though its now nothing but ashes. The girl ran to nicotine for solace, The guy to alcohol, and drugs. The girl fell for the guy's blue, so she tried to help him light out the ashes by giving him her red, gleaming and alive heart. He doesn't know how to handle hearts properly so he shattered it, probably unconsciously, but that's okay, the girl gathered the pieces and she gave it to the guy once more. Once more. Again. Just once more. Over and over again. Like a vicious, self...

I had a little dose of red wine

Long story but please take time to read...  I went to a business trip. I felt excited about it because it was an ice breaker from being stuck at the office. The flight to Manila went well but, when we arrived, I was disappointed with our ride on our way to Tagaytay. The vehicle was entirely covered with their promotional wrap and I’m a sucker of staring outside the car window and just enjoying the view. Then, we are finally in the venue. It went worse since, I have to share a double size bed with a total stranger. The event started and oh boy, I was surrounded by the elderly. I’m a young professional and I had no one to talk to since, our table arrangement was with our...
