SUMMER CAME EARLY - GUNNA x LIL BABY BRING THE HEAT 

Lil Baby and Gunna’s fan base are very similar, following the ATL soundscape paves by the fathers Future and Young Thug/SEX. The album is thirteen songs in length with features on only three songs. The opening track ‘Off White’ with Lil Durk and NAV (don’t worry you can hear him) features a dampened piano with pads reminiscent of a 21 Savage track. The studio quality album holds the artistic, dirty synths and fat bottom end that every hip hop fan fiends for. Producer Tay Keith is on multiple tracks on the album including the final track. Drake tweeted earlier this year that he was keen to collaborate with TK. A taste of this collaboration is given the final track ‘Never Recover’ where the 6GOD moves with similar cadence to his previous lab with Lil Baby ‘Yes Indeed’. As you listen, you can see every song popping off in ATL’s hotspot, Magic City, a place where Future and DJ Esko set the tone for the Atlanta Rap sounds we get to head bang to.
