Conflict in high fantasy
How can I create a conflict in a high fantasy world that doesn't form a typical hero's journey? I.E. isn't about beating an evil lord or fighting evil at all?
I don't feel like the heroic tales of every other high fantasy book is for me.
Make the hero struggle with his/her personal issues
