Best Breakfast Spots in Brisbane
You may have gathered from my last post that I'm something of a cafe nerd. I'm obsessed with getting the best coffee and also the best breakfasts and brunch. To me, breakfast is life. It's the most important meal of the day. After all, it literally means 'to break the fast' so you need to make it count.
I often take a trip from the coast to see friends in Brisbane. And they sure know how to do breakfast.
These are my tips for the best in town.
Situated on Arthur Street in Fortitude Valley, this cafe prides itself on its local, sustainable produce. I had the polenta mushrooms with ricotta. So yummy.
This little gem is much more than just a cafe. It's also a Community Supported Enterprise. They provide "opportunities for female artisans and producers of food. I had the delicious acai bowl.
A slightly more sophisticated Monday to Friday affair. They use only single origin beans. I went the avocado toast. You can also add halloumi.
Nestled inside the cottage garden nursery in east Brisbane, this place know their breakfast. I had the spiced apple hot cakes with cinnamon and walnuts.
The two ladies who run this place are a delight. They serve up the best coffee. Rotating the beans every six weeks. They also do breakfast bagels to die for.
