Start Making A Movie

I always like movie, any kind of movie. My family and I used to spend a holiday by watching movies, untill now, even sometimes we missed the movie day on holiday (sad). Anyway, have you ever wonder how those films were made? Yea, me too, that's exactly what I've been thinking about when I watch a movie.

3 years later, I started to make my own movie and it was a disaster. No script, no preparation, no plan, literally just nothing. And that was my first mistake. In making movie we have to prepare everything!! This is the most important thing in making movies. Well, let me tell you what to prepare based on my own experience

1. Script

You need the main idea of your movie, think about the story, think about what do you want to show in this movie, think about which genre you want to make, think about what do you need, you write it all down

2. Place and Actor

After your script is ready, find a place that would fit in with your script, for example, you want to make a horror movie, so you gonna need a creepy place such as, old house, cave, or even your room (with a little setup). After that you gonna need an actor, the main character on your movie, find an actor who would fit with your movie, for example, wanna make a horror movie? Then find a character who fit!

3. Tools

Some of you might think "why you pick tools in number three? Tools are the most important!!!" Yes I agree, but for beginners, basically you just need a camera, that's it! Even your smartphone has a camera. You don't need that fancy expensive camera, use every source you have. Oh, you might need a tripod to stabilize your footage, and also a mic, if you shoot a video outside. You can buy those stuff if you have enough money to buy, but if you can't, don't force yourself, try to hold your smartphone or camera with two hands, to make your footage more stable, and try to speak louder to sound more clear.
