Book Reviewing: Starting Out
It's hard to be a book reviewer. Sometimes you run out of words, sometimes you can't even properly explain what you feel with the book, sometimes you even dislike the book but don't know how to be constructive about it.
As I am starting out on all this book reviewing thing, I find it hard to list down priority books and which to read for another time; especially when the deadline or release of the book is months away.
How do book reviews work?
Well, for many reviewers that are starting out, we accept copies of books in exchange for an jonest book review. But for some who are with organizations/associations that hire reviewers, they are getting paid a certain amount. As for me, I am both. It's not kuch money really, or maybe it's the fact that I'm just starting out. But boy, is this hardwork!
Reading through piles of stories just to finish deadlines is exhausting! At the end of the day, your goal is to be a known book reviewer so that you could have more benefits and do what you love at the same time!
