Jaden Smith- Where are you going Syre!?

So Jaden Smith released a new song today “Ghost” and the album cover had me speculating that this was finally the “Kpop” he tweeted about a far time ago. Now Jaden is prone to impulsively tweeting but some Kpop would’ve been much better than what we got with this single.

“Ghost” lacks any of Jaden’s individuality, and seems to only mimic mainstream rap. If you compare this track with any from “SYRE” you’ll see the difference. Arguably the worst track from “SYRE” “Rapper” has much more of a flair than this new track. 

Really what am I saying with all of this? 

Jaden is one of my favourite rap artists, he receives a large level criticism, and I’ve found it to be excusable as he is a growing artist and has spent his whole life in the spotlight. And “SYRE” was a polarising album however musically it has merits with more than just 808 beats thumbing behind Jadens lazy voice (which is all this new track is). I just hope he either releases the acoustic “SYRE” album he’s teased and hopefully doesn’t make the rest of his music like this new track.
