Maegan May 18, 2018 If I tell you book review If I tell you by Alicia Tuckerman If I tell you is a book set in Australia, about a girl named Alex Summers who is dealing with being gay. The story follows Alex in her perspective discovering her sexuality in a town that is filled with homophobic people. As the story progresses Alex meets a girl named Phoenix Stone and her life is changed forever. I really liked this book! The characters were well developed, the imagery used was good and the book flowed all throughout. In some parts of the book, I felt it went a bit quicker or it was easy to tell what was going to happen next, but overall it was really good. This book was very emotional, not only did Alex have to deal with ridicule from...

Maegan Apr 26, 2018 Book review The Cruel Prince by Holly Black So I just finished reading The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. To be honest it was ok, I had previously heard a bit of the hype going around but never read anything about it. To start it was a good book. I loved the writing and characters. The writing was pretty good, it was easy to read and follow. There were a couple of points throughout the book where I felt that the sentances weren't making sense ( in my mind) but that was probably just me. The characters were also pretty good, I like the relationships and conflict between them it made me want to read and never stop. The problem I have with the characters is their characterisation, there wasn't much of...

Maegan Apr 23, 2018 Book review The Language of Thorns Midnight Tales and Dangerous magic By Leigh Bardugo I really loved this book. The Language of Thorns is a book filled with a collection of short stories containing revenge, love, betrayal, and sacrifice. My first impression of this book was that it was beautiful, I absolutely loved the illustrations on the inside of the book and the colorful text. the text and illustrations helped paint a better picture in my mind of the stories and emotions felt throughout. Previous to this book I had never read a collection of short stories before, to be honest, I didn't know how it was going to go. I wasn't sure how I would go switching between stories constantly, but I...
