Wow. The knockout stages see both Portugal and Argentina, and the special one's who got them there, Ronaldo and Messi, exit the World Cup on the same day. A crazy goal fest between France and Argentina gave us 7 goals(FRA 4-2 ARG) including a 30 stunner by by Di Maria, incredible volley by Pavard, and Mbappe running through Argentina's defence - LITERALLY. Anyhow, we have got to question one person : Sampaoli. You have such quality on the bench and you're 4-2 down with 20 minutes to go, what do you have to lose?  You bring Aguero,Dybala,Higuan, discard Icardi (Pun intended) Which probably he's regretting now. For the Portugal vs Uruguay match, it was a defensive masterclass...

Nigeria vs Argentina

Well wow, amazing match, but horrible end for me. Messi finally showed up, but i really don't think Argentina deserved that match, this is just my opinion though. Most noteably, the hand ball. Now i know it hit Rojo's head before his hand, but exactly how much of his head? VAR see's this, but they call no penalty, yet something identical happened in the Iran vs Portugal game, which was given. It feels like a robbery. But it's over now, Nigeria couldn't see the match but definitely gave Argentina trouble, great match.
