Scientology, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Rumors of Murder

I watched a show recently which claimed that actor Philip Seymour Hoffman did not kill himself. It was alleged in the show that possibly he was murdered by the cult of Scientology, after playing in a film called "The Master" that they found offensive and allegedly had tried to stop production of. The question is, would they really go that far simply over a film? It seems far fetched to me. Maybe his hardcore fans are just seeking someone to blame for the unfortunate tragedy that is a life ended too soon.

Woman Claimed Three Kids She Never Had In Order To Attain State Welfare

I recently read about a woman who committed large scale welfare fraud. For 10 years,she received state benefits for three children. The thing though, is she never actually had the three children. I have no idea what her motive was (other than the obvious, greed.) Assistance programs can literally be a lifeline for the genuinely in need, such as those unable to attain and maintain substantial gainful employment because of major mental or physical disability and such. However, people who do crap like in the story mentioned above, reinforce people’s worst views about assistance recipients.

Why Misandrist Extremists Should Concern Us All

I have heard of several “waves” or varieties of feminism. The most misandrist radicalized variety wouldn’t bat an eye if men were exterminated altogether. In fact, it’s their great (and by great I mean most fervent) desire. They seem to forget that at the very minimum, both genders are needed for procreation. If these misandrist extremists got their way, they’d be dooming not just men, but humanity at large to extinction. Originally, feminism was supposed to be about leveling the field for women, which is great, but the unhinged fringe of the movement should worry us all, regardless of our gender.
