Samsung Galaxy S6 vs Sony Xperia XA1 (Phone Review)

Three years ago I bought a Samsung Galaxy S6 second hand for $530 (this included a life proof case and a wireless charger) . It was perfect condition aside from a couple of scuffs on the edges (which I always wore a case over anyway). Recently I had to lay the poor baby to rest as it had run its course, the back camera lost its quality, battery didn't last long anymore, keyboard was burnt into the screen and the charger USB port was broken.

Before I get into any detail I must inform you I am no technology whizz, I don't study IT or anything like that so this review is all based on personal preference and experience. So please don't judge or hate on me, thank you.

Which brings me to my recent discovery, and new baby. My Sony Xperia XA1. It cost me $330 brand new. I have had it only for one day so far so obviously my input on it could be lacking. However my favorite aspect on this phone so far is the 23mp back camera and 8mp front camera. The detail that can be captured in this camera is beautiful. Sadly I haven't gone anywhere or seen anything amazing to take pictures off to compare with the pictures I have taken on my Samsung (16mp camera) in the past so I just have these pics that I took through my window just now:

The phone doesn't lag and the screen touch is a good sensitivity where you don't have to press hard. I am a fan of the shape of the phone also. I currently don't have any form of screen protector or case so my Xperia is very vulnerable so I haven't dropped it yet, therefore can not compare the durability.

Another feature I like is the way that is presents album art in your notification tab and lock screen when you listen to music. The speaker is pretty decent, but it's a phone so obviously it's not great or anything, don't know any phones that are. The headphone slot works perfectly.

I was really nervous and sad about moving away from my Galaxy s6 but I am so happy with the Xperia. It does its job in regards to me not having any issues with internet connectivity, downloads, texts, calls, data, camera, etc.

I would recommend the Xperia to anyone who doesn't have over $400 for a phone, although you could probably get a Samsung s6 for that cheap these days anyway.

I don't really have much to say, just wanted to leave my opinion on my new Xperia after switching from the Samsung.

If you have any questions about the phone, feel free to ask me (or most info on it would be on Google obviously).

Thanks for reading and don't forget to follow if you enjoyed this kinda lame review!
