Solid skincare routine
I have oily, acne-prone and sensitive skin. So I have a lot of experience with it. I’ve been to multiple dermatologist and have been on the pills but nothing works. I’ve finally found my solution, its simple but its effective (for me at least).
Morning
Cleanser - I reccomend something light such as Cosrx Good Morning Cleanser.
Toner - This is important as it helps to prep your skin + minimize pores. There’s tons out there that you can search that is suitable for your skin concern. I used AHA/BHA from cosrx.
Moisturiser - Even if you have oily skin don’t skip this step. Find a gel-like formula, oily skin absorb it better. There’s one from Bobbi Brown but it is a little bit on the pricey side (it last long) or from The Body Shop aloe vera line.
Sunscreen - Very very important step. Especially if you have active ingredients in your toner that makes you more prone to sun damage. This can be a little tough as you don’t want one that’ll make your skin oily-er. Right now I’m using one from Biorè.
Your skin is now prep + ready for makeup. Find make ups that won’t clog your pores. There are few brands that I would recommend but that calls for a different post I think.
Night Routine
Double cleansing - It helps take out make ups and gunk from your pores. Oil cleanser or micellar water is good.
Cleanser - I still used Cosrx morning cleanser because its THAT good but if you want to switch it up you can use others. Their salicylic acid cleanser is great if you have heavy breakouts.
Toner - Can use the same one or different. I use an exfoliating toner sometimes depending on my skin condition.
Serum/Oils/Ampoules - You can skip this step at first. This is the active ingredient that is used to target skin concern. Such as hyperpigmentation or brightening serums. There are tons on the market from the lower ends such as The Originals to high ends such as Bobbi brown or Tarte or Pixi.
Moisturiser - Just use the same one or if you have really dry skin due to your active ingredients, you can use a sleep mask.
Special care
Exfoliating once a week. Try and avoid physical exfoliator. Face mask every other day, clay mask once a week (it may dried up your skin)
