Who We Are Meant To Be

There's more to things left unsaid, to the whys we never tell and to the hows we should say it.
There's more to things left unsaid, to the whys we never tell and to the hows we should say it.

Will there become a day where anyone is stripped off with the dread of “not being good enough,” the fear of not fitting in and just live the life we have always wanted?

We live in a world where our worth are measured with the things we possess and stuff we can do; our souls, measured by the number of likes and shares we receive, the quantity of friends and followers we have online.

Our world has taught us that the things that are valuable are things that are tangible which led almost every one of us to show what we deliberately want to reveal in order to be accepted by the society; forgetting the true value of our self worth.

Our world has taught us that the things that are valuable are things that are tangible which led almost every one of us to show what we deliberately want to reveal in order to be accepted by the society; forgetting the true value of our self worth.

It’s heartbreaking to imagine that our children are trapped upon these endless fucked up set of standards wherein the way one is acknowledge depends on how one looks, how someone’s pockets are filled, what’s inside and what one’s abilities could be a gain for others. And like it or not it has always been that way.

Our morals are now based on how perfect we look on our pictures. The world has made us develop a defected compass wherein it insists that what is wrong is right and what is right is wrong.

But when does right become wrong and when does wrong become right?

It’s when you compromise yourself to be ideal to everybody‘s eyes.

When you hide the ugly scars that make you who you are to become “beautiful” forgetting the fact that we all shine differently, that we shine our own different kinds of rainbows. We let the world feed us with lies that to become perfect is without blemish; that in order to be loved means losing yourself and pulling down the bar to things that you know you don’t deserve.

Why should we be sorry for knowing the things that are best for us? Why should we be sorry for raising the standards according to how we know would make our lives worth living, to things that we know are worth having?

No one lives the lives we live but ourselves. NO ONE but us.

No one lives the lives we live but ourselves. NO ONE but us.

Should we be defined by the number of pursuers we have? Or the number of likes we get to receive online? Is having a huge quantity of friends online topple the quality of friends we DO have? We were too blinded about the philosophy QUANTITY is better than QUALITY.

We should live the lives we dare choose not by the acknowledgement the world gives but the acknowledgement we regard upon ourselves. The essence of who we are should be the passion that we feel, that burning feeling of being someone we want to be; the passion of what we want to do. Our souls should be measured by the moments we felt human, the moments we let vulnerability take over and just live.

We should be the smiles, the tears, the cackling laughter, the screams and the dreams we have to the scars we gained.

Its all about being fearless, not to the world but to the demons we have inside; being fearless to live and let live. Having that reckless hope that makes you feel alive is everything more but illusion.

Our souls should be measured by the moments we were beaten down but never gave up, the listless nights and the gray days we push ourselves to survive, live and never just exist.

Be the person you would love to see when you grow old. Be human. Live human.

LIVE. AND JUST. BREATHE.
