Shaylie Townsend Jan 23, 2019 in Climate Change The forecast temperature for today in Adelaide is going to be 45°C I was just doubling up my curtains thinking two lots of thick curtains should surely keep the heat out today especially if it keeps the sunlight out. Then I read the first few paragraphs of this article: If you are going to be suffering through the lovely 45°C forcast for South Australia, just like me today, please take a few minutes to read the article above it might just make your day a little bit more tolerable and less toasty warm. Also please look at this article that gives you tips on how to stay alive during a heat wave. So stay, cool stay hydrated, and stay out of the sun. Good Luck Adelaide! I hope we make it through! #adelaideweather #adelaideforcastweather...

Jac Pizi Apr 24, 2018 in Climate Change A step forward or a step back? Although this is great news and it is possible that The Great Barrier Reef won't be destroyed due to coral bleaching, is this better than focusing on the bigger issue that our modern society faces? Climate change threatends more than just coral reefs, so aiming to fix that issue instead of the bigger problem is pointless when the ice caps are melting and sea levels are rising. Clouds are able to store more water before it rains, causing higher rates of floods and droughts, and effecting crop farming. These all being the effects of rising tempretures. Sure we may find a way to save coral reefs, but is it worth it when all these other problems will inevitably get worse and worse?
