Sammy Jun 30, 2018 in Sports Argentina and Portugal Out Wow. The knockout stages see both Portugal and Argentina, and the special one's who got them there, Ronaldo and Messi, exit the World Cup on the same day. A crazy goal fest between France and Argentina gave us 7 goals(FRA 4-2 ARG) including a 30 stunner by by Di Maria, incredible volley by Pavard, and Mbappe running through Argentina's defence - LITERALLY. Anyhow, we have got to question one person : Sampaoli. You have such quality on the bench and you're 4-2 down with 20 minutes to go, what do you have to lose? You bring Aguero,Dybala,Higuan, discard Icardi (Pun intended) Which probably he's regretting now. For the Portugal vs Uruguay match, it was a defensive masterclass...
Sammy Jun 29, 2018 in Sports Senegal Exit the World Cup : On number of yellow cards The last African team that had the chance to qualify for the Round of 16 , Senegal, has been knocked out on a "fair play" tie-breaker rule introduced in the 2018 World Cup where Yellow/Red cards are added up for fair play points. Now Senegal and Japan were locked on points, Goal difference, etc, but In my opinion, extra time, and a penalty shootout would be much more a better way to go about settling situations like that, especially because Africans play a more Athletic,Physical, style of football. Most of the other players that go diving in the grass like mental dolphins (If you watched Iran vs Morocco, everybody appeared to have glass bones , going to ground whenever...
Sammy Jun 26, 2018 in Sports Nigeria vs Argentina Well wow, amazing match, but horrible end for me. Messi finally showed up, but i really don't think Argentina deserved that match, this is just my opinion though. Most noteably, the hand ball. Now i know it hit Rojo's head before his hand, but exactly how much of his head? VAR see's this, but they call no penalty, yet something identical happened in the Iran vs Portugal game, which was given. It feels like a robbery. But it's over now, Nigeria couldn't see the match but definitely gave Argentina trouble, great match.
Bailey Caust Apr 26, 2018 in Sports AFL The AFL has been extremely intriguing so far this season. With teams such as Collingwood and the Eagles playing a lot better than everyone thought they would, and the Saints and Melbourne disappointing, this season is proving be as unpredictable as ever. According to Richmond there’s no such thing as a premiership hangover, and Adelaide are making do with an ever growing injury list. North are performing well above expectations and Freo are busy making the new Optus Stadium their new fortress. But what is there to come for the rest of the season? It’s particularly hard to tell, with there being many upsets thus far and most likely many more to come. At this stage I expect Richmond...
