Gamer Journey
As I kid I grew up gaming. I am lucky to have three older siblings who are also gamers. This meant that I got to watch and learn from them while growing up. Although this also meant I rarely got a turn to game myself. When I did game I would play simple games such as Sims, Minecraft, Need for Speed or Emulated GBA Pokemon (fire red, emerald, etc).
As I grew up I didn't really get more into gaming due to me not having my own computer or money to buy one. Until one day when I was about 14, I came home to an old pc sitting on my floor. My oldest brother had brought it home for me from his work. It wasnt capable of gaming. It couldn't even play Minecraft on the lowest settings. So it was kind of just a web browser for a while.
I didn't have a proper job due to being in highschool so I didn't have the money to upgrade. At the time I wasn't too fussed about it. Until one holiday when I visited my sister, she had her gaming PC and she offered I play a game that she had recently got at the time. This is when I played Overwatch for the first time. First hero I tried was junkrat and I got 'Play of the Game'. Thats when I was hooked.
I had the urge to upgrade my PC and overtime I have. It took years because I pretty much only got parts at Christmas and my birthday from my family. Even now I lack games because of money. But after I finish highschool this year I will have more money to spend on my hobbies like my siblings.
My favorite game is still Overwatch after two years. I have cosplayed two of the heroes from the game (Mercy and D.Va). I have played and own other games. I enjoy going to conventions because the gaming community is full of wonderful people. Honestly I get sick of people calling certain games cancer (I hear it a lot about overwatch) or when they complain about things. I believe that as a gamer you should choose your games and forget everyone else's opinion. At the end of the day we all are passionate about wasting our lives away infront of a screen.
Nothing wrong with Gaming as long as it doesn’t take over someone’s life. I think it’s great if we can all find ways to relax and lose our worries and concerns while we do something we really enjoy
Great article :)

I love Overwatch!!!!! Do you?
Yes! Overwatch is awesome c:
Firstly, your cosplay is amazing! What do you think of the way fortnite is taking over?
I actually have no issue with fortnite taking over. I personally have only played it 3 or 4 times but it is a lot of fun and I would probably play it more if school didnt stress me out. It's a fun game and its mostly free. I think it's just another way for us to connect and fangirl/boy together. I've never been one to judge game preferences.
