So lately I’ve been depressed 😪 , getting out of the cycle 💪🏼💪🏼

So over the past few months I haven’t been as bright, energetic or as happy as usual. I was told I was “clinically depressed” by multiple doctors and each one recommend that I take anti-depressants, through out my life I have met a bunch of different people who take these anti-depressants and the way that these drugs effected them and how coming off the drugs effected them. My mum was taking then and one day we couldn’t afford to get them and she legit lost the plot and I’ve never seen her so spaced out and her mood swings were out of this world (she is okay now tho). So with all the doctor/councillors and therapy sessions I’ve decided that I’m against taking them so I’ve been trying to find ways to be happier with out anti-deprresents

Be Motivated 💪🏼🎨🎳🎮

The first thing I needed to do was become motivated to help myself, to do this I found things that made me happy like a hobby I have recently become really into sfx makeup and I’m pretty good at and as it’s around Halloween atm I’m making a bit of money from it.

Go outside 🚴🏼‍♀️🤽🏿‍♀️🧘🏼‍♂️🤸🏽‍♂️🏄🏼‍♂️⛷🏇🏼

Being outside and enjoying the sun or rain is one of my all time favourite things to do when I’m feeling down even if it’s going for a run,walking you’re dog or just sitting outside have in you’re backyard, lunch at the park with some mates or the beach. Even going bush walking,camping,swimming are some amazing outdoor activities that are good for you’re mental and physical health.

When I find myself feeling that kinda I don’t wanna talk to anyone and stay in bed all day kind of depressed I found that the bast way to get out of that is to surround you’re self with people who give off good vibes and people who push and motivate you to do you’re best and be the best you

Being depressed it’s hard to find and keep a job as some days you’re fine then the next day you are completely different and un motivated but finding a job you enjoy doing really helps to keep you’re mind busy and also to create new connections and become a more motivated confident person

I’m not qualified In anyway to be saying if you should or shouldn’t be taking anti-depressants but I do believe that you don’t need to take these drugs to feel happy, I’m only a 17 year old girl who is trying to find happiness with in my self and I want to help other people do that to.
