3 Easy Everyday Tips for a Healthy Body and Mind!
Hi everyone! Peachy's back for another quick post! Today I'm gonna share 3 little tips and habits that you can easily adopt into your daily routine for a healthy body and mind!
1. Start each morning with a glass of water.
A big glass of water in the morning helps kick start your metabolism and prevents your body from storing fat, good for people who are watching their weight! Water also keeps you hydrated and flushes out unhealthy toxins in your body, which can help with weight loss, clear skin and a glowing complexion!
2. Pick up meditation.
Meditation is great for getting in touch with yourself and finding some calm in your hectic everyday life! Meditation may seem intimidating for people who've never done it before, and rest assured it's not sitting for hours humming to yourself aimlessly. It's about keeping calm and taking some time for yourself to get in touch with your emotions. Just 3 minutes a day will help you be more in control of your emotions and you'll definitely see an improvement in your mood, productivity and overall well being!
I highly recommend the app "Headspace" - it's great for beginners and offers guided meditation from short sessions of 1 minute to longer ones of up to 20 minutes! It even has packs for stress, sleep, anxiety and self improvement! Definitely do yourself a favour and check it out! Mindfulness is an amazing thing to practice for your overall wellness!
3. Sleep Well.
Having a good night's rest is vital to keeping yourself healthy. Sleeping lets the body repair damaged cells and allows it to replenish the body with energy! You wake up refreshed and energized instead of groggy and irritated. Sleep also improves your memory, spurs your creativity and sharpens your attention! Setting a sleep schedule and sticking to it daily can greatly benefit you.
Did you know that sleep depravation also encourages the storage of fat in your stomach? So make sure to catch up on your sleep if you're planning on losing some belly fat!
