I N T H E E N D
In the end it wasn’t me who will
end up wiping away your tears, the one you’ll greet when you get home, in the
end it’s not me you will show your heart to; the one who will witness how your
eyes sparkle while laughing at something you love, not the one whose silken jet
black hair your hands will be playing.
In the end it isn’t me who your heart will beat for, the one your eyes will seek in the midst of noise; I will never become the one you will search for solitude, calm and security. In the end, it will never be my heartbeat you will long to hear nor the hands you will hold for eternity.
Even so, it’s been decided that I love you until the sun rules over my night skies, when the ocean waves cease to kiss the shore; until the stars stop twinkling in the ever velvety skies. I choose to love you upon my small moments of being human. I choose you through the infinite imperfections any humans could become, I choose you through all the masks you tend to wear, the tears you choose to hide and the scars you choose to conceal within the shadows, within the shadows of fear and doubt I choose you and love you.
The things you want to keep secret, with lips tightly shut and with hope to keep it until my very last breath I choose to love you with all of me. I choose you among all the wounds you are yet to heal.
I choose to be with you at your worst even if you will never know. I choose to be with you when loneliness chase your sunshine away, the one who will try and hope that it will be alright; that you will be alright even if the world will try to break you apart.
With knuckles bleeding, breaths gasping, heart weary and soul already worn out I will fight to becoming your last.
But if being with me is not your definition of happiness, I’ll silently wipe my tears and slowly walk away.
Because when I chose to love you, to have your happiness become your absolute reality became my prayer.
Nice
